Notifications on Your Phone
New orders and waiter calls reach the right person, even with the panel closed
Open the Notifications tab. Every role has it, because everyone needs to hear something different.
New orders and waiter calls arrive as a notification on this device, even when the panel is closed.
This matters most in a venue where nobody is standing in front of a screen: a small kitchen, a terrace, a shop where you are the only person working.
12.1 Switching it on
Section titled “12.1 Switching it on”You switch notifications on per device. Every phone, every tablet, every till is switched on separately, where it stands, and then belongs to the account it was switched on with.
- Sign in on the device that should ring
- Open Notifications
- Press “Turn notifications on”
- Choose Allow when the browser asks
The card then reads “On for this device”, with the list “Devices getting notifications” below it (12.4).
12.2 What arrives on this device
Section titled “12.2 What arrives on this device”The card “What arrives on this device” tells each person what they will get, based on their role:
| Role | Receives |
|---|---|
| Owner / Manager | Everything: new orders, food ready, waiter calls |
| Kitchen | New orders |
| Service | Food ready and waiter calls |
| Cashier | Nothing automatic, test notifications only |
The notifications themselves are short and say what to do:
| Notification | Text |
|---|---|
| New order | “Table 7, 3 items” |
| Waiter called | “Table 7 needs help” |
| Order ready | “Table 7, ready to serve” |
12.3 Testing, and what to do when nothing arrives
Section titled “12.3 Testing, and what to do when nothing arrives”Press “Send a test notification”. The device shows “Notifications are working.” within a few seconds. Do this once per device, right after switching on.
| What the card says | What to do |
|---|---|
| “Off for this device” | Press “Turn notifications on” |
| “Connection expired, nothing arrives any more” | Press “Reconnect” |
| “The browser refused permission.” | Allow notifications for this site in the browser settings, then switch on again |
| “This browser cannot show notifications.” | An old browser, or an iPhone where the panel still runs in a browser tab instead of as an app (see 12.1) |
| “Notifications are not set up on this server.” | Contact miraTEQ |
12.4 Devices getting notifications
Section titled “12.4 Devices getting notifications”Below the buttons is the list “Devices getting notifications”: every device that gets notifications for your account, with device, browser and the day it was switched on, for example “iPhone · Safari, since 10/1/2026”. The device you are using right now is marked “This device”. Everyone sees only their own devices, so the kitchen does not see the cashier’s.
| Button | What happens |
|---|---|
| “Remove” | That one device gets no more notifications. If someone opens Notifications there, it reads “Connection expired, nothing arrives any more”. |
| “Remove all others” | Only this device keeps getting notifications. |
